BACKGROUND
With over
70% of US companies now using some type of Stage-Gate
process, the real issue is not whether to implement a
Stage-Gate system but rather how to leverage Stage-Gate
as the push for accelerated innovation and R&D
productivity steadily rises. Top performing companies
such as P&G and 3M have been highly successful at
finding creative ways to streamline, improve and
right-size their idea-to-launch processes. However,
far too many companies with Stage-Gate systems in place
are still plagued by missed deadlines, clogged
development pipelines and too few resources and
ultimately, lower new product development performance
and productivity levels.
To help
address this critical issue,
Management
Roundtable and
Stage-Gate Inc. have
joined forces to offer the
First International Stage-Gate Leadership Summit,
scheduled for February 20 21,
2007 at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in St.
Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Robert G. Cooper will be
the chairperson for this important forum and will share
his latest insights on key innovation practices of
leading companies as well as how to adapt your
idea-to-launch framework to allow for increased
flexibility and scalability to accommodate varying
project needs. The focus of this ground breaking event
is to offer an innovative exchange and collaboration of
leading edge ideas, solutions and experiences with
industrys leading stage-gate pioneers youll learn
new ways to retool and adapt your idea-to-launch process
to accelerate decisions, increase new product success
rates and significantly improve new product development
productivity and profitability.
Limited to 100 attendees,
the program format will involve a high degree of
attendee participation. Participants will be expected to
provide feedback to case presenters, participate in
facilitated idea exchange discussion groups and give
report backs to the group at-large.
This
first-ever event of its kind will provide attendees with
cutting-edge information of how leading companies are
achieving more with their Stage-Gate systems
faster time-to-market, higher product success rates and
increased profitability. Youll come away with concrete
steps and multiple case examples of how to garner
pivotal leadership support, remove cultural barriers and
turn your Stage-Gate process into a leaner, more
flexible and scalable process.
