Open Innovation Networks—
Creating and managing an
ecosystem for innovation

Live Audio-Session featuring
Michael Docherty [BIO]
Chief Executive Officer
Venture2, Inc.

Open-source business models and collaborative approaches to innovation are moving beyond 'nice-to-have' to 'must-have.' Joint ventures and strategic alliances are on a growth path. ‘Collaborative innovation’ methods were being used by more than 50% of respondents to Bain & Company’s 2006 Management Tools and Trends Survey.

But are companies succeeding?

A select group of leading companies have successfully adopted open innovation and are demonstrating impressive results. But many others are moving slowly or stumbling along the way. And many are incorrectly equating open innovation with technology scouting. While scouting remains important, open innovation is more broad and incorporates other important aspects including the partnerships and informal relationships with networks of external innovators.

The best companies are learning to identify areas of interest and then develop both formal and informal mechanisms to create innovation networks. This is an ongoing process that requires a company to approach business in a fundamentally different way, both externally and internally.

Please join our exclusive 90-minute audio-session (60 minute presentation plus 30 minutes for Q&A) as respected expert, Mike Docherty, provides an introduction and framework for creating and managing your company’s networks of external innovators. This presentation provides practical advice and case studies of successful open innovation networks in action and a straight forward approach to planning, structuring and managing external innovation partnerships to drive internal growth.

By the end of this session you will understand:

  • The importance of moving beyond just technology scouting

  • Strategic intent and network charters

  • A framework creating and managing networks of partners

  • How to structure collaborative pilots to harvest innovation opportunities

Invite your whole team to join you - the fee is the same as long as you are on one line, just put it on speakerphone!
